We provide agile, adaptable, and scalable capabilities prepared to engage globally across the range of military operations within maritime and other domains in support of the national defense strategy.

Objective Statement:

Deliver ready capabilities to the operational commander

Objective Definition:

To maximize alignment between requirements, capabilities, and capacities, we will transition our health service support into interoperable adaptive force packages by aligning Navy Medicine's manning, training, and equipping to maintain a medically ready force.

Objective Statement:

Define and maintain clinical currency for the medical force

Objective Definition:

Navy Medicine will lead the Services in defining clinical currency and determining the requirements to maintain currency across the medical force.

We will provide exceptional value to those we serve by ensuring the safest and highest quality care through best health care practices, full and efficient utilization of our services, and lower care costs.

Objective Statement:

Decrease enrollee network cost/Increase recapture of Purchased Care

Objective Definition:

Navy Medicine will decrease network spending, maximize clinical experience of our staff, and optimize resource utilization. We will manage referrals in order to provide our enrollees the best care at the best value.

Realize full benefit from Medical Home Ports and Neighborhoods for Fleet, USMC, and MTFs

Objective Definition:

Navy Medicine will strive to achieve full benefit from our MHP and neighborhoods for Fleet, USMC, and MTFs. We will improve the health for our patients, and when they do need care, we will provide the best care possible in a patient-centered care environment.

Jointness

We lead Navy Medicine to jointness and improved interoperability by pursuing the most effective ways of mission accomplishment.

Objective Statement:

Leverage joint initiatives to optimize performance of Navy Medicine’s mission

Objective Definition:

We will increase our participation in joint work groups, committees, and nominative positions (MHS, DHA, JS) where essential policy decisions will be determined, and through membership/leadership, we will improve our ability to lead in tri-service initiatives.

Objective Definition:

We will improve our ability to respond in a Joint environment by leading in those areas where Navy Medicine has significant expertise and unique capabilities to support our warfighters.

Integrate technology to improve the health and readiness of the Force

Objective Definition:

To support Navy and Marine Corps missions, Navy Medicine must influence the business and clinical implementation of DHA Health IT Shared Services and successfully implement the modernized EHR.
