Welcome to the 2012 Navy Days IM/IT Training Symposium (Navy Days) website. Navy Days is part of the annual Tri-Service Medical Information Management Symposium, a Joint conference with the Army and Air force. The conference is targeted towards IM/IT professionals and precedes the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference and Exhibition. Both the Tri-Service Medical Information Management Symposium and the HIMSS conference and exhibition offer attendees a unique opportunity to network and share ideas with fellow IM/IT professionals. In addition to the networking and learning opportunities available at Navy Days and HIMSS, Navy Days features keynote speakers and informative breakout sessions that offer unique insight into the future of Navy Medicine IM/IT.

Navy Days will be held Friday, February 17 to Sunday, February 19 at Bally’s Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The HIMSS 2012 Annual Conference and Exhibition will be held Monday, February 20 to Friday, February 24 at the Venetian Sands Expo Center, Las Vegas, Nevada.

We ask each of you to consult your leadership in an effort to acquire funding for as many of your IT Staff as possible. We also strongly encourage attendance by your comptroller and DFAs. The educational and networking opportunities at Navy Days are invaluable and will help both leadership and staff gain a more complete understanding of their roles both within their respective organizations and the mission of Navy Medicine.
