April is nationally recognized as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Though the Navy's goal to eliminate sexual assault is a year-long effort, Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month is an opportunity to raise awareness and foster a culture of prevention. Through effective education and training, a 24/7 response capability to ensure victim support, reporting procedures available world-wide, and accountability that enhances the safety and well-being of all, Navy Medicine is dedicated to end sexual assault throughout the ranks. Throughout April, Navy Medicine will share information and resources about sexual assault prevention and ongoing education efforts throughout the enterprise. Join the conversation online and help spread the word: #SAAM
