MECP is a commissioning program offering qualified enlisted men and woman from all enlisted ratings a chance to earn an entry-level nursing degree followed by an appointment as an Ensign in the Nurse Corps.  MECP is open to active duty enlisted sailors and marines.
Those accepted into the program receive full pay and benefits of their pay grades while going to school in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).   MECP students may use their Montgomery G.I. Bill as well as other outside financial assistance to pay for schooling.  
Passing the NCLEX is required to practice as a registered nurse.

Please read Chapters 1, 2, and 5 of the OPNAVINST 1420.1A, Change-3, and the MECP NAVADMIN 062/09 prior to preparing your package.

ACT - 42 (21 English & 21 Math)


You must not have reached your 42nd birthday by the time of initial appointment/commissioning. NO AGE WAIVER WILL BE GRANTED.
