Welcome to the Debt Collection Assistance Officer (DCAO) and TRICARE Business Office page.

The DCAO provides assistance with debt collection matters concerning unpaid TRICARE claims.

The TRICARE Business Office ensures the Managed Care Support Contractor is meeting all governing requirements in delivering services related to the Department of Defense Military Healthcare Program.

To receive services from a DCAO, beneficiaries must present either a:

Letter from a collection agency indicating initiation of active collection action
and/or
Credit report that reflects a negative credit status due to a TRICARE payment issue.
The attached forms must also be completed in order for the DCAO to communicate directly with the collection agency.
