Scope of Care:

The Pediatric Clinic is an outpatient service within the Naval Hospital. We serve eligible family members ages newborn to 21 years of age who are TRICARE Prime enrollees.  We provide preventive care, care when your child is sick and manage chronic diseases such as asthma and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder.  If your child requires specialty care, we will place a referral and work with the specialist to manage your child's overall health.

Clinic Policies:

Arrival time:  Please arrive at the Hospital front desk to be checked in at your appointment time.  First, a corpsman or medical assistant will check your child’s measurements, vital signs and have you complete any needed paperwork. After the check-in process is complete, you will see your provider. To help your check-in go quickly, please see if there are any forms you can print and complete from the Link list below.

Late Policy:  If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we will do our best to work you into the schedule but on-time patients will be seen first.  If needed, your appointment may be rescheduled for a later time or date.

Contagious Diseases:  Please do not bring anyone into the hospital that you suspect may have chicken pox or measles.  In those cases, if not an emergency, please contact the clinic first to either give you home care guidance or make appropriate arrangements for your child to be seen in order to limit the exposure of other patients to a possible contagious disease.

Treatment of Minors:  According to Washington State law, the Pediatric Clinic cannot evaluate and treat children less than 18 years old without consent from their parent/legal guardian or an adult with a medical power of attorney. Exceptions can be made for contraception, evaluation and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases (14 years or older), alcohol and substance abuse treatment (13 years and older) and mental health treatment (13 years and older).  For questions about this policy, please contact the clinic.
