Scope of Care:

The Orthopedic Clinic provides both non-surgical and operative care to all eligible beneficiaries for a wide variety of orthopedic conditions. Patients are seen in the Orthopedic Clinic by referral and appointment only.  Specific areas within orthopedics for which care can be given include:

  • Sports-related injuries
  • Musculoskeletal trauma and over use injury 
  • Limited pediatric orthopedic conditions
  • Limited hand surgery
  • Fracture management
  • Tendon repairs
  • Carpal tunnel release / cubital tunnel release  
  • Trigger finger surgery
  • Treatment of certain musculoskeletal infections
  • Joint inoperability

Other common surgery that we offer include:

  • Sports Medicine 
  • Knee arthroscopy
  • ACL reconstruction
  • Meniscus depridement/repair
  • Shoulder arthroscopy
  • Rotator cuff repair
  • Ankle arthroscopy
  • Ligament reconstruction
  • Ankle fracture management
  • Tendon repair
  • Removal of hardware
  • Open and arthroscopic procedures

Orthopedic services NOT rendered at Naval Hospital Oak Harbor are:

  • Spine surgery
  • Complex hand surgery
  • Total joint arthroplasty (joint replacements)
  • Limb or digit replantation
  • Major trauma surgery
  • Reconstructive foot/ankle surgery complex
  • Bunion corrective surgery
