As the Department of Defense realigns organizations and resources, NHRC/EHEL is configured to continue its mission while optimizing the material, personnel, and financial resources under its stewardship. Further, NHRC/EHEL is well on its way to becoming the Tri-Service Health Effects Center of Excellence in Neurobehavioral and Pulmonary Health Effects Research.

The mission EHEL is to support fleet operational readiness, protect the warfighter and provide the Department of the Navy, the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery and other customers with timely solutions to current and anticipated operational problems through an integrated approach to innovative human health effects toxicological research.
