My military orders say that I must “REPORT NOT LATER THAN JUN 16. What does this mean?

Usually military orders list the month and the year in which a member must report. For example, JUN 16 which means June 2016. The GME office will determine the exact report date within the month and year given. 2016/17 interns will report 0700, June 1, 2016.

Sometimes a little further down under “ULTIMATE ACTIVITY” you will see the exact date you are to report expressed as “REPORT NOT EARLIER THAN 1 JUN 2016. REPORT NOT LATER THAN 1 JUN 2016.”
