The mission of the Tidewater MSM is to oversee the integration
of healthcare services across the Tidewater market area.

Vision     

Through a true spirit of joint operations, champion new initiatives to maximize the direct care system through the sharing of clinical services; optimizing market referral patterns, and using increased economies of scale to reduce purchase costs across the Tidewater market.

The Tidewater Multi-Service Market Group is comprised of Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, McDonald Army Health Center , Ft Eustis, and the 1st Medical Group assigned to Langley Air Force Base. Together these military treatment facilities by way of a collaborative process, develop a consolidated Business Plan for the Multi-Market and jointly work resource issues. These include integrated plans for appointing services, resource sharing, optimization initiatives and DoD/VA sharing opportunities.
