DO: Aquatics Fitness For All!


When you live in Southern California, water workouts are a wonderful way to stay in shape through the winter season! Water fitness offers a low impact aerobic workout that can be performed independently or in a group class. Research shows, regular aerobic exercise, can help reduce anxiety and improve brain function.

Here is your chance to dive in and enjoy the benefits of a water workout:

    Command PT at your Base Pool (all locations below)

  • You can reserve lanes or request a trainer by calling the numbers listed below.
  • 500-Mile Club (NAB and VADM NASNI)

  • Ask to record your laps at your pool and work at your own pace towards swimming 500-Miles! Prizes will be awarded along the way for mile markers, 50, 100 etcetera.
  • Free Active Duty Swim Lessons (NAB and VADM NASNI)

  • Work with trainers from the America Red Cross to achieve your personal aquatics goals from skill-building to challenging workouts.
  • Free (Active Duty, dependents, DoD) Water Aerobics Classes (NBSD)

  • Experience this excellent full-body, low-impact workout with an experienced instructor.
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am-10am.
