EAT: IS YOUR TANK FUELED?

Whenever you get in your car, what's the first thing you should do before stepping on the gas? Check your fuel level. Whether you're going to the corner store or to the four corners of the earth, you should always make sure you have enough fuel to get you where you’re going. Every journey needs the right type and right amount of fuel. That includes the journey your body takes on the road to better health—or just everyday living.

To avoid sputtering, stalling, and poor performance, make sure your body has what it needs to make the trip. Energy comes from whole grains and other natural foods like fruits and vegetables. Try to have plenty of both on reserve and within easy reach. And avoid putting sugar in your "tank,” because you don’t want to crash and burn!
