MOVE: CORE CONDITIONING

When you think of your core, what comes to mind? Most people would say their abs, but did you know that your back, side, hip, pelvic, and buttocks muscles are also part of your core? These muscles are critical to improving your performance in almost any sport or activity, avoiding painful back injuries, and enhancing balance and stability! Activities that can help you build a strong, flexible core include:

  • Yoga and Pilates
  • Zumba
  • Vertical exercises (done with a wall or ball)
