Our Senior Wellness programs are designed specifically for our beneficiaries 55 and above. Our programs combine education, exercise, fun and motivation. Participants that complete our Senior Wellness programs have reported being “more activate overall…”, “increased fellowship and laughter…”, “…learning to better improve one’s lifestyle” and “increase positivity with social interaction...”. SENIOR WELLNESS CLASSES

Healthier Living with Chronic Conditions

In this 6-week workshop, you will learn to manage pain, fatigue, stress, and frustration associated with chronic conditions.

During this class you will:

  • Enjoy a small group led by peers trained in self-management
  • Discover ways to better manage your health challenges and lessen their impact on our life
  • Explore ways to reduce fatigue, anxiety, sleep loss and pain
  • Set goals and problem solve to make positive changes

Who can benefit?

  • Anyone with an ongoing health condition
  • Family members or caregivers of someone with an ongoing health condition

Senior Gentle Yoga

For beneficiaries 55+, this is a gentle yoga class, taught by a Certified Yoga Instructor, especially for those new to yoga.

Designed especially for seniors with little or no yoga experience or may have some physical limitations which require a slower paced gentle yoga experience. Most of the class is done seated in chairs, although, students can recline on the floor if they are physically able to. Yoga is a proven stress reliever. Weight bearing activity of yoga can help slow bone thinning, reducing the risks of osteoporosis and improve balance.

No previous experience required. Poses modified for individual ability level. All yoga materials provided. A certified yoga instructor teaches this class.

Senior Wellness Workshop

A fun way to stay healthy and happy, this 13-week comprehensive program for seniors incorporates weekly exercise, informational health lectures and brain games.

A comprehensive pre- and post-Senior Fitness Assessment is administered with this program and is open to beneficiaries age of 65+. A medical release is required prior enrollment.

Senior Yoga

For beneficiaries 55+, addresses the unique needs of seniors and is designed to provide the tools they need to stay mobile and active.

Yoga is a proven stress reliever and can be helpful in reducing hypertension (high blood pressure). The weight bearing activity of yoga can help slow bone thinning, reducing the risks of osteoporosis (bone degeneration), and improve balance.

No previous experience required; this class is modified for individual ability level. All yoga materials will be provided.
