The Facilities Management Department is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of Class I and Class II property, utilities, and limited commercial activities. (Note: the Facilities Management Department is not responsible for the repair of Class III minor property such as television, furniture, or medical equipment).
The Environmental Division, Facilities Management Department is responsible for the management of all environmental programs at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), outlying Branch Medical Clinics (BMCs), Branch Dental Clinics (BDCs), and Tricare Outpatient Clinics (TOCs). The Division ensures that the Command remains in compliance with all the Federal, State, and local environmental laws, rules and regulations in addition to the Department of Defense (DOD) and the Department of the Navy (DON) policies, instructions, directives and guidelines.
