HEALTHCARE INTER-SERVICE TRAINING OFFICE
The Healthcare Inter-service Training Office (HC-ITO) provides policy and
guidance for inter-service training; supports DoD, BRAC directives and
training transformation initiatives; and facilitates medical inter-service
training studies/reviews. The HC-ITO coordinates the establishment of
multi-service training solutions for common training requirements, enabling
the participating Services to preserve training resources as expressed in
terms of manpower, equipment, funding, and facilities.
 
The Navy is the Executive Agent for the HC-ITO and the Commander of the
NMETLC is the Inter-service Training Review Organization Advisor for Health
Care (ITROAHC) and provides day to day management support.

Services: 
  • Serve as manager of the Health Care Inter-service Training Office and direct the daily activities of the staff. 
  • Serve as the principal advisor to the ITRO AHC on healthcare inter-service training. Represent the ITRO AHC in his/her absence in all matters pertaining to healthcare inter-service training. 
  • Coordinate the activities and provide guidance to the Health Care Inter-service training Advisory Board, Quick Look Groups, Detailed Analysis, Standing Committees, and other groups.

  • Provide briefings, reports, and information to appropriate authorities, such as Congress, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, the Surgeons General, and ITRO boards and committees. 
  • Serve as a member of the ITRO Steering Committee, principal inter-service liaison with the Community College of the Air Force, DoD Commissioner to the Council on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, and as a member of the Medical Education Training Center Executive Integrated Process Team.
