NIDDL

Bacteria-in-a-petri-dish-compressed.jpgThe Naval Infectious Diseases Diagnostics Laboratory’s (NIDDL) mission is to provide infectious disease diagnostic services, including clinical laboratory testing, analysis and interpretation to clinicians in the diagnosis and treatment of their patients in support of total force protection and to meet the Department of Defense's global health mission. The individuals served are active duty military members and their dependents.

NIDDL was established as a reference laboratory for more esoteric testing and to supply a much needed capability to the DoD and its beneficiaries for clinical diagnostic testing for the diseases that are not necessarily common or commonly tested in within DoD medical treatment facilities.
