Operational Forces Medical Liaison Services The primary mission of this facility is to provide quality healthcare for the men and women of the uniformed services. In order to accomplish this mission, the special needs of the Fleet and Operational Forces must be met. The Operational Forces Medical Liaison Services Medical Department customer survey form and the Operational Forces Medical Liaison Service Individual Sailor or Marine customer service form are two tools we are using to assess command effectiveness. Military Health System Pharmacy Claims Experience Higher Processing Times
The Military Health System's (MHS) pharmacy claims processing service is experiencing higher than normal processing times. This issue is affecting all three points of prescription services (Military Treatment Facilities, TRICARE Mail Order Pharmacy, and TRICARE Retail Network Pharmacies).

Beneficiaries may experience minor delays in pharmacies processing prescriptions while this issue continues. The slow system performance is not related to our pharmacy contractor, Express-Scripts, or the Military's medical information system. TMA is working very closely with the vendor to resolve this situation. Thank you in advance for your understanding and
patience.

Injury Claims Process for Federal Civilian Employees Serviced by HRO Patuxent River

Employees who are injured on the job must immediately report every job-related injury or illness to their supervisor. Download the Supervisor's checklist and the Injured Employee checklist to assist you with your report.

Employees should report to the Occupational Medicine Clinic, Dr. Charlot, Bldg 436. Employees do not have to be treated at the Clinic but can elect to be treated by a physician of their choice (usually located within 25 miles of residence/work). Supervisors must issue a Medical Referral (OPNAV 5100/9) (formerly called Dispensary Permit) to the employee to be treated at the Occupational Medicine Clinic. This form is also available on the HRO web page. If Dr. Charlot is not available, employees can go to an Urgent Care Facility, i.e., Breton Medical for treatment. Employees are urged to contact the Occupational Medicine Clinic at 301-342-1496 for an appointment. Employees who sustain an on-the-job injury of such severity that requires immediate medical attention (severe lacerations, possible fractures and head/neck injuries) should be transported to the closest civilian emergency medical facility.

For further guidance employees/supervisors can contact Ms. Debbie Owen at 301-342-6867 or Ms. Mary Vaughan 301-342-6868.
