Diagnostic Tools

·     Non-Invasive Tests to provide information about heart valves, heart muscle, coronary arteries, as well as possible congenital heart abnormalities.
o   Echocardiography
o   Exercise stress test
o   Exercise echocardiograms
·     Cardiac Catheterization
A routine, same-day procedure to detect or rule out heart disease. Indications for the procedure include events such as chest pain, abnormal treadmill stress test, heart attack (myocardial infarction), and heart defects. Cardiac catheterization may reveal a healthy heart or the need for corrective measures such as clot thinning, surgical dilation of blood vessel with a balloon or stent (angioplasty), or coronary bypass surgery.
