Pastoral Care Overall Mission
The U.S. Navy’s Chaplain's Religious Enrichment Development Operation [CREDO], a worldwide program sponsored by the Chief of Chaplains, offers a variety of group-based experiences to help individuals deal with personal or family problems, improve relationships, develop self-awareness, and bring focus to their lives.

Command Goals
The goal of pastoral care services at NH Pensacola is to engage the spiritual dimension of our patients as a resource for healing in a way that respects the unique and individual nature of each person’s spiritual experience. Services are available to all patients, patients’ families, and staff, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

For our Catholic patients, a priest is available on Monday and Thursday mornings each week for visitation. For emergencies a Catholic priest will be called as needed.

Situations in which you may wish to speak with a chaplain:

  • When you’ve heard some medical word that’s threatening or may mean a lot of changes in your life.
  • When you’re facing a difficult decision.
  • When someone close to you dies.
  • When you are scared about being in the hospital.
  • When you are lonely.
  • When your family is upset.

Telephone: 850-505-6924
