LCDR Rachel Baudek was born in Phoenix, AZ, and graduated from Arizona State University in 2000 with a bachelor of science in nursing.  Upon graduation, she was commissioned as a Navy Nurse Corps Ensign with her first duty assignment at Naval Medical Center San Diego, where she worked as a Staff Nurse on the Medical Surgical Ward and Emergency Room. In January 2003, she transferred to Naval Hospital Rota where she continued to work in the emergency room.
Selected for duty under instruction in 2006, LCDR Baudek completed her master’s degree in science at University of Maryland in 2008.  She subsequently became dual certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist. After graduation, her next assignment was Naval Medical Center Portsmouth where she worked in the Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.  During her assignment to NMCP, she was deployed as an individual augmentee to Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and served as a member of the Mental Health Support Team for NAVCENT HQ, Warrior Transition Program.
In August 2012, LCDR Baudek reported to NH Pensacola and was assigned as the Department Head for the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program located at the NAS Pensacola Branch Health Clinic.  LCDR Baudek’s personal awards include a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two gold stars in lieu of third award).
