Lieutenant Commander Edusada enlisted in the United States Navy on July 8, 1988 as a Hospital Corpsman.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Columban College in Olongapo City Philippines in 1987 and earned her Master’s Degree in Health Services Management from Webster University in 2003. She received a commission as a Lieutenant (Junior Grade) in July 2003 through the Medical Service Corps In-Service Procurement Program. 
Lieutenant Junior Grade Edusada attended Officer Indoctrination School in Newport, Rhode Island and subsequently received orders to Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, CA as the Head of Human Resources Department.  In 2005 she deployed with Expeditionary Medical Facility Kuwait Alpha detachment and served as the S1 Admin and Personnel Management Department. 
Ready for increased responsibility, in 2006 Lieutenant Edusada took orders to Navy Medicine West (NMWest) as the Regional Patient Admin Officer.  She was responsible for providing daily support and guidance with regards to coding policy and compliance, HIPAA training and reports to 12 subordinate commands servicing over 850,000 beneficiaries.
In 2009 Lieutenant Edusada received assignment as Medical Admin Officer (MAO) on the USS Ronald Reagan homeported in San Diego, CA.  During this assignment, she effectively operated as the ship and air wing sole TRICARE and MEDEVAC coordinator.  She flawlessly coordinated all tactical and global MEDEVACs from REAGAN to shore with 100% patient tracking and accountability.   
Earning recognition as a Patient Administration (PAD)  Subject Matter Expert (SME), Lieutenant Edusada was then selected to serve as the Director of Patient Administration Course at Navy Medicine Professional Development Center (NMPDC) in Bethesda Maryland.  Directly involved in the shaping of the PAD Community, she was responsible for preparing entry-level junior PAD officers for successful execution of their duties and their PAD assignments at MTFs, aboard ships and in operational environments.  She was later on hand picked to serve as an Assistant Specialty Leader for the Navy Patient Administration Community.  She was promoted to Lieutenant Commander in January 2012.
In June 2013 Lieutenant Commander Edusada reported to Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) as Department Head of the largest Patient Administration Department in Navy Medicine.  In June 2015 she was hand selected as Assistant Director for Administration leading the largest Directorate at NMCSD that consist of 8 departments with over 1,300 employees and a $103 million budget.
Lieutenant Commander Edusada’s personal awards include the, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with silver star in lieu of sixth award and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with four gold stars.
