Occupational Health

Occupational Health is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses. Services include medical surveillance and certification exams required for firefighters, divers, explosive ordinance handlers, child care workers, police officers, ionizing radiation workers and many more. Exams may insure the ability to wear protective equipment, such as a respirator, when working with hazardous solvents or paints. Immunizations are given to employees who are at risk for exposure to infectious or contagious diseases. In conjunction with responsibilities for monitoring the various surveillance programs, the Occupational Health Nurse coordinates and performs pulmonary function testing, audiograms, electrocardiograms, visual screenings and assist with interpretation of medical results.

Our staff has expertise in the treatment of work related injuries for employees from the time of occurrence through rehabilitation. Our clinic actively participates in the analysis of mishaps as part of a multidisciplinary team to improve our employee's safety.
