181019-N-PG340-051 PORTSMOUTH, Va. (Oct. 19, 2018) Lt. Cmdr. Akinwale ‘Wale’ Onamade fills a pharmacy order at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia, where he works as a pharmacist, recalled to active duty status. Onamade joined the U.S. Navy as an enlisted corpsman in 1997 and later applied for the Health Services Collegiate Program to attend the University of Illinois at Chicago. In 2006 he graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree and went on to complete Officer Candidate School, and in 2010 he joined the Naval Reserve.
