BREMERTON, WA - Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Joseph Kahler, recently selected as Sailor of the Quarter at Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Bremerton Detachment Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, credits his career in Navy Medicine back to his days growing up in Mosinee, Wisconsin and influence of his older brother, also a corpsman who served at the onset of the war on terror. Kahler has served overseas in Europe, deployed to the Middle East and Far East and is currently helping to stop the spread of COVID-19 along with ensuring force medical readiness as part of a ready medical force (Official Navy photo by Douglas H Stutz, NHB/NMRTC Bremerton public affairs officer).
