SAN DIEGO, CA - SAN DIEGO (Aug. 12, 2021) Capt. Kim Davis, Naval Medical Center San Diego's (NMCSD) commanding officer (center), receives the San Diego Military Advisory Council’s (SDMAC) 2021 Nancy Dix Achievement Award on behalf of the hospital from Senator Toni G. Atkins, the 51st President pro tempore of the California State Senate and member of the California State Senate from the 39th district (left), and Cmdr. Jim Bedinger (ret.) (right), during their 14th Annual Achievement Awards ceremony at the Admiral Kidd Catering and Conference Center Aug. 12. SDMAC’s mission is to support and promote the mutual business and other interests of the military, their quality of life and the defense community in the San Diego area. NMCSD’s mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians, and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
