San Diego - SAN DIEGO (Feb. 28, 2022) Jesse Bergstedt, a radiation therapist assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) San Diego's Radiation Oncology Division, prepares a patient for a CT scan at the hospital. NMRTC San Diego has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in radiation oncology as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The Radiation Oncology Division has maintained uninterrupted ACR accreditation since 1997, the longest continuously ACR-accredited site in California, and one of only three ACR-accredited radiation oncology practices in San Diego. NMRTC San Diego's mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMRTC San Diego employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians, and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
