The Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) Information Management (IM) and Clinical Informatics team has won the 2022 Capt. Joan Dooling Information Professional Team of the Year Award Aug. 16, for the deployment of MHS Genesis - the next generation DoD electronic health record system. Cynthia Gulley, NMCSD IT division head and Dean Ricario, NMCSD Information Services division officer (Center L and R) accept the award at the 2022 Defense Health Information Technology Symposium, a three day annual conference, sponsored by the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in Orlando, Fla. NMCSD’s mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
