HA1c Katherine Horton (1920-2023) enlisted in the Navy in 1944.  She graduated from the WAVES Hospital Corps School in April 1945, becoming one of the first three African American women in the Hospital Corps. After the war she studied physical therapy.  She passed away in January 2023 at the age of 102.
