Jesse Bandle, assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command San Diego (NMRTCSD) and native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, performs exploratory surgery on a simulated trauma patient during a mass casualty drill aboard USS Boxer (LHD 4). Boxer, Fleet Surgical Team Five and NMRTCSD Sailors participated in a two-day mass casualty drill simulating Boxer as a casualty receiving treatment ship.
