Jesse Bandle, assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego, from Colorado Springs, Colorado, performs exploratory surgery on a simulated trauma patient during a mass casualty drill aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4). Boxer, Fleet Surgical Team Five and Naval Medical Center San Diego Sailors participated in a two-day mass casualty drill simulating Boxer as a casualty receiving treatment ship.
