Professionalism personified and recognized…Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Gunner Haskill is informed that he was advanced in his chosen rate to the next highest paygrade as part of the Navy’s Meritoriously Advancement Program. Haskill was selected for advancement due to his work as a behavioral health technician assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness Training Command Bremerton and on deployment onboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) from August 2021 to February 2022. MAP authorizes commanding officers to advance eligible enlisted Sailors like Haskill in paygrades E5 and below to the next higher paygrade and provides leadership the opportunity to acknowledge those personnel who have demonstrated they are ready for the next level of responsibility by advancing them in rate (Official Navy photo by Douglas H Stutz, NHB/NMRTC Bremerton public affairs officer).
