PERFORMANCE

With the department?s Medical Administration Officer, General Medical Officer and Department Leading Chief Petty Officer, LCDR Shrivastava ensures peak performance of USS Bataan?s medical department by empowering the department?s first class petty officers, holding duty department heads accountable for the actions of their teams, and promoting training whenever possible. He regularly monitors indices of crew health to include individual medical readiness and health risk assessment submissions. LCDR Shrivastava is a firm believer in maintaining access to care, abiding by standards of care, working as a team, and treating Sailors with dignity and respect.  He works with other Senior and General Medical Officers across the waterfront to learn from others and provide lessons learned.  He, furthermore, stays engaged with providers and staff at Naval Medical Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Portsmouth to ensure BATAAN sailors are both being supported and holding up their end of the patient-provider relationship.
