Global deployments to underdeveloped regions of the world may expose service members to emerging infectious diseases and other contagions. Ongoing surveillance for dangerous pathogens is vital to protect the health and readiness of U.S. service members.
Our Infectious Diseases team conducts surveillance to enhance situational awareness and provides laboratory and epidemiological research support to identify and characterize emerging infectious diseases to preserve operational readiness and force health protection.
