Our services

We currently provide evaluation and treatment of active duty, family members and retirees with musculoskeletal and neuromuscular injuries and illnesses.

We utilize manual therapy, trigger point dry needling, therapeutic exercise, functional mobility testing/training, bracing/taping, and therapeutic modalities.

Our specialized programs include:

  • • Aquatic Therapy - located at the Combat Pool (The pool is closed during inclement weather. Please call 252-466-0344 to confirm aquatic therapy has not been canceled due to thunder, lightning etc).
    • Agility classes – located at the Marine Dome.
    • Core stability – located in the Physical Therapy Department on the third floor.

Our Late/Cancelation/No Show Policy

If you arrive later than 15 minutes for your appointment, that appointment may have to be rescheduled. If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment with the Physical Therapy Department please call prior to that appointment. After two no-shows all future appointments may be cancelled. 


Our Physical Therapists

LCDR Hannah Hooten, PT - LCDR Hooten attended The University Of Memphis for her undergraduate degree and went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2008. After working several years in both civilian and military orthopedic clinics, she earned her Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy in 2014. LCDR Hooten has been working with Marines and Sailors for the past 8 years while stationed at Naval Hospital Okinawa , Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms, and Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point.

Chrystal Horton,DPT - Dr. Horton graduated from East CarolinaUniversity, in Greenville, NC, with a Bachelor's degree as a Health FitnessSpecialist in 2008, then graduated from Missouri State University, in Springfield, MO, with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy Spring of 2011. She has spent the past 14+ yrs in the Physical Therapy field which first started prior to graduating from high school performing on the job training, to then a Physical Therapy Technician at 2 separate hospitals while attending ECU fulltime for undergrad, and lastly becoming a Physical Therapist working at NHCCP Sept 2011 specializing in outpatient orthopedics.

Emily Williams, PT, MS – Ms. Williams graduated with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island in 1996.  In her twenty year career she has practiced primarily in orthopedics with a focus on manual therapy.  She came to Cherry Point July 2006 as the first civilian physical therapist when it was still a hospital and assisted in the transition to the Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point.  Michael Pascua, PT - : Mr. Pascua graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from Pines City Colleges in Baguio City, Philippines. After graduation, he moved to the island of Guam and joined the US Navy in June 2003. He served in USS Tortuga, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Va and Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point. During his 8 years in the service, he was awarded with Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy "E" Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal Award, National Defense Service Medal and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. While he was at the service, he passed and awarded his PT License in Aug 2008 in the state of North Carolina. After his tour at Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point in June 2011, he continued his career in Long Term Care Rehab and Home Health Rehab and joined the NHCCP Team in March 2014.

Michael Pascua, PT -  Mr. Pascua graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from Pines City Colleges in Baguio City, Philippines.
