             Thursday 0800-1200 (last vaccine given at 1145); 12:30-1400 (last vaccine given at 1330)

The Immunizations Clinic provides the full spectrum of immunization services to include vaccinations and education on all vaccine preventable diseases to all active duty and beneficiaries. 

Because of the potential risk of an adverse reaction, immunizations will not be given unless a nurse is present in the clinic, and all patients receiving an immunization must remain for a 15 minute observation period. No tuberculosis screening (PPD) tests will be administered on Thursdays.

Naval Hospital Beaufort’s award-winning Health Promotion Department helps maintain a healthy and fit force by encouraging a culture of healthy lifestyles. Health Promotion staff work hard to ensure that Sailors, civilian staff, and NHB beneficiaries have access to all the tools, classes, information, and resources they need to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The department offers several classes on topics to help beneficiaries live healthier lives by kicking unhealthy habits and managing specific health-related conditions. Classes include tobacco cessation, weight management, healthy heart, and diabetes education.

In 2008, 2009, and 2010, NHB’s Health Promotion Department was awarded the Navy Surgeon General’s Blue H Award, Gold Star for their work.


Fitness Center

The Fitness Center features an aerobics area, equipment room, and locker room/shower facilities. There are over 31 pieces of Life Fitness and Precor exercise equipment (treadmills, elliptical trainers, and stationary bikes) for cardiovascular and strength training.

The department also offers several group fitness classes every week to include indoor cycling, dance aerobics, and more. Classes and the fitness center are open to all hospital staff as well as eligible beneficiaries including family members and retirees.
