Michael G. Mercado, MD

Dr. Mercado is a board-certified Family Physician and a California native.† He graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2004 and completed his residency training at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in 2007.

His clinical interests include procedural medicine, clinical leadership.† He also enjoys table tennis, reading a compelling book on leadership, and spending time with his family.

Patrick C. Simpson, MD

LCDR, MC, USN

 

Dr. Patrick is a board-certified Family Physician and a Kansas native.† He graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2011 (Go Hawks!).† He completed his residency training at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FL in 2014.†

 

His clinical interests include preventing cancer through evidence-based screening and utilizing technology to improve patient access and staff efficiency. †He enjoys cooking and exploring the Pacific Northwest

 

Brittany C. Pierre, FNP

 

Mrs. Pierre is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a California native. She graduated from Hampton University obtaining both her Bachelorís and Masterís Degree of Nursing in 2010 and 2015. †She started her career as an Emergency Room nurse and quickly gained experience in Trauma nursing, leading her to a career in ICU nursing while obtaining her Masterís.

 

Clinical interest includes working with active duty service members, dependents and veterans providing safe quality holistic care.† She also enjoys reading, cooking, and spending quality time with her family.

 

Brian A. Smoley, MD MPH

CAPT, MC, USN

 

Dr. Smoley is a board-certified Family Physician and a Minnesota native.† He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1997 and completed his residency training right here at Naval Hospital Bremerton in 2000.†

 

His clinical interests include incorporating Fertility Awareness/Natural Family Planning techniques.† He and his wife Julie have three children including a daughter with Down syndrome who teaches them every day about the joys and rewards of raising a child with special needs

Molly Hurda, RN BSN DNP

LCDR, NC, USN

 

Dr. Hurda is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a South Dakota native.† She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2003 and started her naval career in emergency medicine.† She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from the University of San Diego in 2016.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys adventuring through the Pacific Northwest with her family.†

 

Andrew Hamilton, MD

 

Dr. Hamilton is a board-certified Family Physician born in Massachusetts and raised in California.† He graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1982 and completed his residency training at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in 1987.†

 

His clinical interest is the broad spectrum of family medicine.† In his spare time, he likes hiking and photography.

 

Randall Kelley, DO

 

Dr. Kelly is a board-certified Family Physician and a Kansas native.† He graduated from the University of Health Science Kansas City in 1983 and completed his residency training at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in 1989.†

 

His clinical interest is a broad spectrum of family medicine.† He is happily married to his lovely wife, Pam, and enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, camping, and fishing.† They have three sons and two dogs.

 

Lisa Stephens, BSN MS FNP

 

Ms. Stephens is a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Washington native.† She graduated from the University of Washington in 1980.† She earned her Masters of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of San Diego in 1998.

 

Lisa attends Silverdale Lutheran Church and is the President of the Northwest Chapter of the Navy Nurse Corps Association.† Her daughter recently graduated from Pacific Lutheran University and are a proud owner of an English Bulldog named Gunnar and a rescue cat, who is the boss of Gunnar.

 

Erica Grogan, DO

 

Dr. Grogan is a board-certified Family Physician.† She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Des Moines University in Des Moines, IA in 2001 and completed her residency training at Naval Hospital Bremerton in 2007.†

 

Her clinical interests include pediatrics and womenís health.† She also enjoys spending time with her family.

Mr. Loveless is a Physician Assistant born in Oklahoma and raised in Washington. †He graduated from the George Washington University in 1994. †He has been practicing for over 20 years.†

 

His clinical interest is orthopedics.† He is also an avid golfer.

 

Donna Lerma, MD MS

 

Dr. Lerma is a Family Physician and currently calls Washington her home.† She graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2002 and completed her residency training at Naval Hospital Bremerton in 2005.†

 

Her clinical interests include procedural medicine, women's health, pediatrics, military medicine, and management of pain without the use of opiates and controlled substances.† She also enjoys time with family and friends, hiking, and gardening.
