New prescriptions (including renewed prescriptions from your healthcare provider)
7:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding federal holidays) 
Weekends and Holidays: CLOSED 
 
**Due to legal and hospital accreditation requirements, a licensed pharmacist must be present to dispense new prescriptions.**

Refill prescriptions called into the Pharmacy automated refill phone line maybe picked up: 
7:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday 
9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Saturdays 

Peak Hours:

Monday - Friday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Waiting times during this time period may be prolonged due to increased demands.

Eligibility Requirements:

* When presenting for service of any kind at the pharmacy you must show a valid military ID card.

When picking up prescriptionmedications for anyone other than yourself you must:

  • Have the patients I.D. card for patients ages 10 and up. (A photocopy of the I.D. is authorized toshow proof of eligibility, not for base access)
  • For children younger than 10 years of age, you must show an eligible family member or patient’s agent I.D. card at the time of pick-up.

Getting a New Civilian PrescriptionFilled:

  • Patients must bring their prescription(s) to the pharmacy in person or have your health care provider fax it to us.
  • Patients must present in person to the Pharmacy to activate these prescriptions.

Prescription Requirements:

Prescriptions must be written in ink or type written and must show the following:
  • Patient’s full name.
  • Date the prescription was written.
  • Patient’s age or date of birth.
  • Fullname of drug, form of drug, dosage size or strength, and quantity to be dispensed. (An FDA approved generic substitute may be dispensed for the brand name drug in accordance with state and federal law. Please be aware that we cannot increase the quantity of prescriptions. Erasuresor interlineations on prescriptions for prohibited unless initialed by the prescriber.)
  • Complete directions for the patient. ("Take as directed" is not considered adequate instruction and must be avoided.)
  • Legible signature of the prescriber. The prescriber’s name, stamped, typed, or hand printed on the prescription, and signature.
  • Number of refills authorized.
  • The prescriber’s DEA Number if writing for a controlled or narcotic medication.

Prescription Time Limits:

Non-controlled prescriptions - Must be filled within 1 year of the date originally written. These prescriptions may be refilled, if authorized by the prescriber for up to 12 months from the date originally written.

Controlled substance prescriptions - Classified as a DEA Schedule III, IV or V must be filled within 180 days of the date originally written. These prescriptions may be refilled if authorized by the prescriber, for up to 6 months after the date written.

Narcotic substance prescriptions - Classified as a DEA Schedule II must be filled within 30 days from the date originally written. These prescriptions cannot be refilled.

Refill & Renewal… What’s the difference??

A REFILL applies to prescriptions that can be refilled by the pharmacy WITHOUT contacting the prescriber. For example, a prescription for ibuprofen with three refills can be requested by the patient three times or until the prescription expires(usually after one year).

  • How do I request a REFILL? At this time Refills may only be requested by phone. Call 360-257-9701 or 360-257-9705
  • How long does it take? 48 hours or 2 business days. (Same day refills are NOT available except in extreme situations.)

A RENEWAL applies to prescriptions that a patient uses for chronic illnesses and there are NO refills left. In this case, a renewal request must be sent to the prescribing provider for evaluation.
