Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy Department’s primary goal is to provide quality care and positively impact the health and welfare of Active Duty and eligible beneficiaries based on professional guidelines. We strive to consistently maximize the functional potential of all patients via the application of therapeutic intervention of the highest caliber. We will continually conduct ongoing educational programs to empower staff to effectively treat patients.

Hand Therapy/ Hand Clinic:

(Tuesdays and Thursdays)
  • Coordination and dexterity evaluation/treatment
  • Sensory assessment and desensitization
  • Sensory/ muscle re-education
  • Splinting
  • Strengthening
  • Range of Motion measurement and exercise
  • Work conditioning/ergonomics
  • Wound/scar care

Total Joint Rehabilitation:

  • Pre and Post- Operative evaluation and treatment for total hip and knee patients.
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) equipment and training.

Inpatient Services:

  • Functional evaluation
  • ADL assessment and training
  • Rehabilitation
  • Splinting
  • Patient and family education

Basic Neurorehabilitation:

  • Cognitive assessment /retraining
  • ADLS retraining
  • Work conditioning
