Family Home Care

Because the waiting list for the military centers may be long, you may want to consider family home care. In military housing areas, family home care is monitored and regulated by the military. Residents of military housing who want to provide child care in their own homes on a regular or full-time basis must pass a background investigation and have fire, safety and health inspections. To find out more, contact the military family housing complex nearest you.

Family home care in civilian housing is another option for working parents. State licensed day care providers are regulated by the Regional Office, State Department of Social Services.
