Captain DEVIN J. MORRIson

Captain Morrison graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and in 1996 he earned a Master of Science degree in Health Systems Administration from Florida International University. In 2002, Captain Morrison earned a Master of Science degree in Manpower, Personnel and Systems Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School.

During his Naval career, Captain Morrison has served in a variety of duty assignments including Department Head, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (M14) staff, Bureau of Personnel staff, and Director for Administration. Highlights include: Naval Hospital, Bremerton, Washington (1997-2000); Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Washington, D.C. (2002-2005); Naval Medical Support Command, Requirements Determination Team, Portsmouth, Virginia (2005-2006); Combined Security Transition Command, Kabul, Afghanistan (2006-2007); Naval Health Clinic Charleston, South Carolina (2007-2010); BUPERS-3, Officer Community Management, Millington, Tennessee (2010-2012); Naval Hospital, Pensacola, Florida (2013-2016) and Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia (2016-2019).

Following his initial tour as Head, Command Support Services, Naval Hospital Bremerton, Captain Morrison was selected for the Manpower, Personnel and Systems Analysis program at Naval Postgraduate School. Upon graduation, he was assigned to the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery where he worked as a Branch Head, responsible for the distribution of Navy Medicine’s manpower assets (billets). Following a tour with Navy Medical Support Command and a deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and the Combined Security Transition Command, Kabul, Afghanistan, he was selected to serve Director for Administration, Naval Health Clinic Charleston. Subsequent tours include Medical Service Corps & Dental Corps, Officer Community Manager, Director for Administration, Naval Hospital Pensacola and Director for Administration, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.

Captain Morrison is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and previously served as the Navy Regent for ACHE. His awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Army Achievement Medal and various other ribbons and unit citations.
