Academics is responsible for ensuring Navy Medicine training courses meet
documented requirements. This is accomplished be overseeing Navy Medicine
Learning Centers, supervising the establishment of new training courses and
evaluating existing training courses.


Curriculum Management
Provides oversight and support to outlying commands, curriculum approval authority for "A" and "C" schools, and formalized training at our Learning Centers at Navy Medicine Professional Development Center (NMPDC), Medical Education and Training Campus (METC), Navy Medicine Operational Training Center (NMOTC), and Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center (NMCPHC). Responsible for the instructional technology policy, which includes: web, media, multiple platforms, blended-delivery, and assessments. NEOCs technical advisor for Hospital Corpsman.

Human Performance
Responsible for collecting, developing and analyzing data used in the planning and execution of Navy Medicine training, facilitates Business Case Analysis (BCA) creation, conducts Front End Analyses (FEA) and conducts Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA).

Education Operations
Maintains academic oversight and provides education and training documentation for Navy Medicine Department personnel. Provides accreditation management, ITRO support for Navy Medicine, registrar data base, JMESP website management, program management for Surface/Submarine IDC and dental hygiene, CeTARS subject-matter export support, NEOCs technical advisor, and NETSAF liaison.

Technical Evaluation and Integration
Serve as Navy Simulation Committee Chair to provide recommendations for cost effective technologies and oversight for procurement of simulation equipment.
