Interagency Institute for Federal Health Care Executives

The two-week professional continuing education course for senior federal health care executives is approved for the award of approximately 60 continuing education credits for physicians, nurses, dentists and health care executives.  Other health professionals who complete the CE provider’s evaluation will receive a general attendance certificate.  Evaluations must be made electronically to receive CE credit.  All participants will receive an Institute course completion certificate.

 

Eligibility:

A total of fifty-five medical and health service executives are named by the sponsoring agencies to attend each Institute.  All participants share a record of demonstrated competence in health care executive management.  The individuals are selected by their respective agency to participate in the Institute because of their potential for senior leadership positions.
Participants preferably should be at grade 06 but senior 05 is acceptable.

Navy Medicine is usually allocated 14 quotas depending on the size of the course facility.

Seats available: Navy Medicine is usually allocated 14 quotas (shared by the four Navy Medicine Corps) depending on size of facililty.
 

Application Instructions:

1.  Self nominations are directed to respective Corps Career Planners in the form of email requests for consideration.
2.  Corps Career Planners select best condidates for nomination to course.
3.  Selected candidates are notified by Course Director.

NOTE – Travelers must make travel arrangements in DTS within five (5) days of receipt of Line of Accounting (LOA). NO Additional funding will be authorized for increased airfare due to delay in making travel arrangements.
