NHCPR Immunizations

What Does Immunizations Do?

The purpose of immunizations is to prevent disease. All of the diseases we immunize against have, at one time or another, been a serious threat to the health of our country. Most of them are now at their lowest levels in history thanks to years of immunization.

Immunizations Services

The Immunization staff provides vaccination services but the following should be noted:

  • A current Well-Baby exam is required for childhood vaccines.
  • A current prescription is required if coming from an outside provider.

Questions about autism and vaccinations: Refer to the CDC website for more information. For tips on making your child's vaccinations less stressful please read this factsheet.
