Research & Grants

The Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC) has unlimited authority to award research and development (R&D) contracts and assistance agreements in support of the objectives of The Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED). The primary research organization of BUMED is the Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) and its subordinate commands. Click here to learn about NMRC's mission.

Contracts are awarded in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and the Navy Marine Corps Acquisition Regulation Supplement (NMCARS).

Assistance agreements are awarded in accordance with the Department of Defense Grant and Assistance Regulations (DoDGARs).
