Welcome to NSOMI
Purpose
Educate and train the full spectrum of USSOCOM Combat Medics to include: MARSOC Corpsman, Fleet Marine Force Reconnaissance Corpsman, and Naval Special Operators (SEAL/SWCC). In conjunction with SWMG(A), train USASOC Special Forces, Rangers, 160th SOAR, Civil Affairs, Air Force Pararescue (PJ), Allied foreign SOF Medics, and other selected government organizations to perform the unique, global, multi-discipline, joint missions of USSOCOM.

About NSOMI
The Naval Special Operations Medical Institute (NSOMI) was established on 1 October 2006 upon the transition of Naval School of Health Sciences, Component FT Bragg to the Navy Medicine Operational Training Center.
NSOMI is the Naval Detachment within the Army Joint Special Operations Medical Training Center (JSOMTC) located in FT Bragg, NC. JSOMTC is the sole source of training for medical training of SOF medics, techs, and corpsman under U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The courses at JSOMTC are considered quota Army courses, consolidated within the Special Operations Community. U.S Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) serves as the executive agent for USSOCOM to facilitate development, coordination, and implementation of the JSOMTC. The Dean, JSOMTC, acts as program director. The JSOMTC Associate Deans serve as Officer in Charge of their respective services. The Navy OIC reports directly to Commander, Navy Medicine Operational Training Center. Navy cadre serve as instructors in each of the courses offered.
