Naval Medical Forces Pacific is located on the Naval Base San Diego complex (Dry-side), in two buildings (3595 & 3232), near the NMCSD Branch Dental and Medical Clinics. Entrance to bldg 3232 is on Craven St., and entrance to bldg 3595 is on Paunack St. Limited parking is available near both entrances.
Base Access
In accordance with the Force Protection Directive from U.S. Northern Command, Naval Base San Diego conducts 100% identification check of all personnel entering the installation this applies to all military installations. Only personnel with approved DOD Identification and CACs will be granted access. Naval Base San Diego recognizes all DoD decals.
Personnel requiring access to the base but do not have an approved DoD CAC, are required to be escorted by personnel with an approved DoD CAC.

Vehicle passes are issued at the Pass and Decal Office locate north of Main Gate (Gate 6), Naval Base San Diego.

MON – FRI 0530 -1630, first Saturday of every month, 0800-1200 (only for military members and their dependents)
Contractor Badges:
MON – FRI, 0530 - 1500
CLOSED: Weekends and Holidays
Vehicle Registration:
For either a decal or a temporary pass, you will need to show your automobile registration, driver's license, military identification card and proof of insurance. Liability insurance is mandatory in California and you must be insured for a minimum of $15,000 bodily injury (per person), $30,000 bodily injury (per accident), and $10,000 property damage (per accident).
NMFP Driving Directions
Naval Medical Forces Pacifc Offices are located on Naval Base San Diego nearest GATE 32, Gate 32 access is off of Main, Division and Yuma streets at Anchors Catering center. (Note: NMFP is located on a different compound and not at the Naval Medical Center)
Driving From North:
- Take I-5 South, exit on to MAIN/Division STREET.
- Continue end of exit. After stoplight, continue straight across MAIN STREET onto YAMA STREET toward Gate 32.
- Continue through Gate, merge onto left lane and after stop, turn left onto PAUNACK STREET .
- Turn into first parking lot on right, NMW Bldg 3595 is on right.
Driving From South:
- Take I-5 North.
- Exit onto Main/Division, and merge onto NATIONAL CITY BLVD.
- At stop sign, turn sharp right onto DIVISION STREET
- At next stop sign, turn sharp right onto MAIN STREET
- At stop light, turn sharp left onto YAMA STREET towards Gate 32
- Continue through Gate, merge onto left lane and after stop, turn left onto PAUNACK STREET.
