We see it on a daily basis - the need to respond quickly and swiftly, whether it’s a natural disaster or military crisis. A key component of that response is ensuring that our warfighters are medically ready. Creating this readiness is the core of our mission in Navy Medicine. With a community of over 2000 Navy Medicine civilian employees in over 50 different occupations, our Civilian Corps play a critical and foundational role in helping Department of the Navy meet its mission.

About the Civilian Corps

Our civilian workforce is a critical partner with our military members working side-by-side to support our Navy Medicine mission, ensuring that the Department of the Navy is deployment ready for combat, disaster relief and humanitarian efforts.  With over 50 different occupations our civilians are stationed at military treatment facilities, medical education institutions, clinics, hospitals, and research units worldwide!
