Jacksonville, FL - Lt. Cmdr. Michael Kerekgyarto, an optometrist at Naval Branch Health Clinic Jacksonville, conducts an eye exam with Aviation Structural Mechanic 2nd Class Joshua Khirfan, of Patrol Squadron 45. Kerekgyarto, a native of Houston, Texas, holds a Doctor of Optometry from University of Houston. He says, "My Naval training as an aerospace optometrist has provided me with the unique experience of working with aviators and maximizing their vision for flight." World Optometry Day is March 23. Optometrists provide primary vision care, ranging from sight testing and correction to the diagnosis, treatment and management of vision changes. #FacesofNHJax
