Navy Dietitians are your around-the-world go-to food and nutrition experts ready to translate the ever-evolving field of nutritional science into everyday practical application.
 
  • Dietitians (RDs) serve predominantly in Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) on the multi-disciplinary medical team to treat the sick and injured.
  • Provide personalized medical nutrition therapy to optimize health, prevent disease, manage chronic conditions, and improve performance.
  • Supervise hospital galleys and therapeutic inpatient feeding operations.
  • RDs will also be found attached to hospital ships and Expeditionary Medical Facilities (EMFs).
  • Deliver therapeutic feeding and specialized nutrition support; provide nutrition and food safety education; disaster relief
  • Since release of NAVADMIN 160/18, RDs have provided support and education to over 156 line commands and over 9.8K military personnel.
